Ostrander’s name originated from Shelemiah R. Ostrander, a civil engineer for the railroad. Although the railroad helped to from the village, it has since been closed due to deteriorating tracks. The repairman knew his stuff, had a part in his van to fix the problem. He was very friendly, and worked quickly to fix our heat pump. I was expecting to have to replace it due to age, but he fixed it and tested it to make sure it still had good pressure and sufficient refrigerant.
